Join Claire with The Mosaic Hideaway for a fun Summertime Mosaic Class at the Rosie Orchard! Location: the Rosie Orchard 308 W. Avenue F. Midlothian, TX 76065 Date: Tuesday, August 5th Time: 1-3pm Price: $55 per participant This hands-on workshop invites young artists to explore the vibrant world of mosaic art. In this class, participants will learn the fundamentals of mosaic design, including selecting materials, cutting and arranging tiles, and grouting techniques. Guided by an experienced instructor, students will unleash their creativity to craft their own unique mosaic masterpiece, whether it's a colorful wall plaque, a one-of-a-kind picture frame, or a personalized piece of art ready to display. This engaging class not only fosters artistic skills but also encourages self-expression and collaboration in a fun, supportive environment. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. We are excited to create with you and have you discover the joy of mosaic art! There will be a variety of shapes to choose from the day of the event. (frames, animals, flowers, dinosaurs, sea creatures, hearts, and more!) Please note - projects will need to dry for 24 hours before grout can be applied. A take-home grout kit is provided and a grout demonstration will be shown during class. Recommended for ages 6+.
